The UAE at Arctic Frontiers 2026

The UAE participated in Arctic Frontiers 2026 in Tromsø, Norway. One of the world’s leading platforms for dialogue on Arctic policy, science, and sustainable development.

As part of its second consecutive engagement, the Emirates Polar Program reinforced the UAE’s commitment to constructive participation in global climate and polar discussions, while advancing science diplomacy and international research collaboration.

Discussions highlighted the global interconnectedness of Arctic change, including its implications for vulnerable and arid regions, and emphasized the importance of accelerating cooperation on glacier preservation, polar observation, and data sharing.

The UAE’s presence reflects a continued commitment to multilateral environmental governance and to bridging Arctic and non-Arctic perspectives in addressing shared climate risks.
